Got my best ever score on the WWCQDX contest on last weekend of October 2020 set at 5ft off ground on my cars tow bar at sea level. Actually got a few contacts on 80m with a manual tuner as the Z817 would not tune up to the FT-817d to 80m but did managed well over 350 contacts & 48 countries running 3w. Won QRP UK last year 14th Europe & 32 World again on his loop so hoping this year to make the top 5 Europe & top 10 in the world for 2020 won't find out till April. Got all three of Howards antennas long wire works from 4-160m most bands resonant. Howard made me a 10:1 balun for my 12m vertical, doubled up on counterpoise and has made it directional, wherever the counterpoises point that's where I'll be working, again very low noise levels been very handy from QTH inland but better close to the waters edge with the counter poise in the water fresh or salt as only 1% difference in velocity factors.

Saturday 29/06/2019 heard a lot of stations on beam & wires, so decided to go Portable by the beach 10 miles from the QTH. What a difference over my beams on 20m & long wires on 40m. Worked over a couple of hours including a lot of inter "G" as well as overseas. These countries that were worked worst report was 5/4 best after asking for a real report as being QRP was 5/910 into these countries Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Bonaire, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia & Slovenia. Was on FT-817 running 3watts with the vertical topping out at 25 feet. Had mate 2E0UOG on phone getting reports of what he was getting on same frequencies, he was getting nothing due to the wall of noise QSB but was very surprised to hearing what I was getting off this vertical. I do have a few QRP vertices for maximum output of 10watts this antenna leaves them at the starting post. Other counties worked in the week was Paraguay, Malaysia, Chile, Saudi, Madeira Island, Cape Verdi & Argentina. BARGAIN ANTENNA also will tune from 6-80m with a ATU all radios are different & you will find where on radio is resonant on a band & swop to another radio might be a different resonant band, but if you add a piece of wire, popped inside the plastic plug on top section ( multi core copper ) run it out to approximately 45 degrees and peg it; Also leave more wire out pointing to where on the compass you want to work. As now the antenna is mono directional not omni directional, the wire length I have used is 49ft so overall length is 66ft did this over a grassed area close to the beach. Signals were still as good but had another band, but what was on 80m was not really worth the effort, try it make your own mind up. One other thing is when I lower the 1st section down the under 16ft so I can legally drive to another close location & set up again under a minute. Next outing will fix the vertical to where bottom of pole is now 16 inches off the ground rather than 7 feet. Have had this vertical on top of a 30ft winched up mast, above all the trees & buildings around my QTH no difference at all so going to try 16 inches off the deck both QTH & /P will let you know how I got on next time out. One other thing where I go for working International contests I usually drop a counterpoise in the sea, so will be trying this as well then I'll have covered all my bases of operation. Please remember we are at the LOWEST point on the eleven year cycle foe operating radio & cannot wait till we start climbing back this is going to be a brilliant antenna investment ! 73 M6OXO

Here Is The First Tried Today A Delta Loop With Howards, Own Designed Transformer. This Covers 40m - 4m Tunes Up With A LOW Power Setting On The Radio Very Quickly The Best Point Is It's Very Quiet With Noise, It Out PERFORMED My MQ1 Mini Beam On 20m-6m. Howard says It Works Well At Just 4m Off The Ground, Which It Did 1st QSO on 20m as QRPP 1watt To IK4LZH His Report Was 5/930 On My Receive, He Gave Me A 5/7 Strong Audio. As You Will See In Pictures It Is 6m Off The Ground Had It Up To 12m Best Results From QTH Was At 8m. But That Is With Trees & Houses All Around Which Are All Higher Than All My Antennas, Always A Struggle From Here. Do A Search On The Net For " G4YKB Delta Loop Review " Not Seem A Review Below 5/5 ! Bought on 09/06/2019 see my logbook on QRZ for M6OXO from 09-19/06/2019 using a FT-817 max output 4.8watts. My real interest was for the MAGIC BAND 6meters & it has been MAGIC with this DELTA LOOP my 1st ever used. Tonight 19/06/2019 worked CX3AAU & LU3MCJ on 4watts one was a new country for me. RSGBs 50Mhz contest with antenna 1.5m off the deck due to winds, winds were blowing over night antenna went over & sister ran over it Howard had the bits to get me up & running again for that 24Hr contest. Map of contacts which I worked with the DELTA LOOP our ran my MQ1 mini beam (6,10,12,15 & 20m coverage) 73 From a proper HAPPY customer who is buying another for my best mate who has the same problems as I had from my QTH. This is the map of 6m contacts on 50Mhz Trophy contest June 2019 DELTA LOOP on low stand 1.5m tall. DELTA LOOP UP AT 8m same results as being low to ground, these poles fit on the tow bar as well so a NO BRAINER for going portable any height to 6m (1.5m sections) Out over the 27-28/07/2019 working 3 watts on FT-817 see log screen shots below of where this antenna worked please remember we are at the lowest point solar cycle cannot wait till were back on the good times. From top to number 74 is the IOTA countries I worked as QRP/P I don't get these distances on my beams, but on Howard's Vertical & Delta loop have had some fantastic results. My mate Tony 2E0UOG always said he could not hear the stations I was listening too & working so I got one of the delta loops for his birthday NOW he can hear & work them. Will review the long wire when I set it up, some work moving masts about & trees for a trim. 73
